pretty cool, but a waste of money to build a sixer mustang. no offense to the guys with sixers. he obviously has money to buy a gt.

Bobby you obviously dont get it... What a waste to buy a mustang when you could buy a FordGT.
Its about building it to be fast and being the first to do so. And BTW he 'll whoop your A$$ at the track, lol:Jimmy_kicking_time_

Its not a waste to mod a sixxer... its just harder. Grand nationals were sixxers... I dont see anyone hating on those ;)

Man, that's the truth, one of the most feared v6's in drag racing!

I am modding my six because it can put up some good numbers with "relatively" not that much money. There are some stupid quick v6 mustangs out there, and in my opinion some that don't sound all THAT bad.
Oh and Bobby (thats my dad's name) I have the money to buy a mustang GT, but to me that is a waste of money...why buy a 2v when you can buy a 4v for not much more money?

4.3v6 have just as much go power as the 302...just no rumble, so don't count it out of the "fast" department just cause it has a V6....4.2 is only 0.4 liters smaller than 4.6. SO don't brag about the 4.6 being king cause it wheighs about the same - maybe more than a 5.8L and has less power.
Not that I am a 4.2 guy...never even seen one accualy.
But in terms of the MUSTANG....v6 means "poor mans muscle car want-to-be" No classic muscle car with exception of TC and SC and the Buick and maybe GTC will ever be considered muscular...IMHO.

I dont consider it a "muscle car" either, I just think it's cool that the v6 community is starting to have lower and lower ET's. Having owned a v6 for a while and hearing all of the "why waste your money" comments, stuff like this just interests me. Theres another guy on the board that ran a low 11 sec ET with just a TT setup on the stock motor (with fuel upgrades). Pretty cool I think
