So, if I was in the "Wild Street" class,

"Heads-Up, Pro-Tree (.400) class for any streetable, (TRUE STREET) type Ford-powered and bodied car or truck.... ...Competitors will then make three back-to-back passes that will count toward their qualifying time (the average of the 3 consecutive passes)."

Does this mean that the fastest car that meets the class qualifications will win, or does it mean that if my qualify time is a 12.6 and another guys is 12.1, I will get a green light .5 seconds sooner?

Thanks,
Toby

Short explanation of that class:

Saturday's cruise is to "prove"your car is streetable/street legal.

Saturday's three passes per driver are averaged to set up the bracket for Sunday's race.

Sunday's race is heads-up. If you qualify #32 with a 14.2 average from Saturday, in the first round you will race the number the #1 qualifier who had a 9.50 average (I'm making up the times but you get the idea).

It is a heads-up race Sunday. No staggered/handicapped starts, first car to the finish line that does not red light wins. In other words, if you run Wild Street at WFC, you gonna need a 9 second ride or you have to hope everybody you race breaks.

That puts most of us in the bracket challenge!

:agree: :withstupid: :guhte:

They took out all the good classes to run in this year, so the bracket race is going to be insane and very crowded!

Thanks!

Does the bracket challenge have staggered/handicapped starts?

I believe it's still infested with 9 sec rides. . .

Ah, didn't know that. I know in NMRA and FFW events you can get in a 32 car field with an 11 sec ET sometimes low 12's in their mod motor classes.

I have been thinking about running my car in the wild street class, but there is going to be a bunch of cars.

When FFW does it, they index the True Street into classes, 12-sec, 11-sec etc. Isn't this also done at WFC?

Might be worth checking into. I wouldn't mind entering this so I can try for the 12.0 second class.

Wild Street at WFC you pretty much gotta have a 9 sec car or better, and last year was the first time a WS car went into the 7's but it didn't stand cause he couldn't back it up
