Let's get a cruise going!

Let's get a KC-Mustangs cruise going! Summer is wasting away any suggestions for dates? I was thinking maybe a Friday evening/night in the next few weeks or so? Maybe a dyno day at MC Racing followed by a tour of Kansas City or something?

Throw out some suggestions! :2up:


UPDATE: We are meeting June 19th at 11am in the Olathe HOOTERS parking lot. To get there, take I-35 to 119th Street, go east on 119th ST for about 500ft and make a right at the first stop light to go south on Strang Line Rd then make the first left towards TARGET then a quick right towards the AMC 30 Theater and you should see a parking lot full of Mustangs! :thumb_up:

Well I called KCIR and they have grudge nights every Friday night, so I think that's definitely a good way to end the day since they don't start racing until 5:30P! I was also thinking maybe we could cruise somewhere and all have lunch or something! Any suggestions?

Well we need a good place to meet that is kinda centrally located so everyone can come, and it wont be too far away for people to drive. We could start by meeting at a restaurant and grabbing a bite to eat and going from there, or we could meet at a big parking lot and have like a little car show, where we could meet each other and check out the cars, and then go to a restaurant. As for the T-shirts Matt (recoil) might be making a design for them, so we will post it up on here and let you guys see what they look like and go from there. It also looks like the 19th is the day, it gets people ready in time for this cruise, so they can get off work and stuff. :thumb_up:

How much is the Dyno going to Cost?

You get 3 pulls with a print out for $45 bucks or 3 pulls with Air/Fuel graph with a printout for $65 bucks. Custom dyno tuning starts at $475 and goes up.

I will see if maybe they can hook us up with a group discount since it sounds like we will have a nice size group! :thumb_up:

That sounds like a great plan! Just some fyi on kcir, to watch is $10 per person, to race is usually $20 per person. They might also work out a group deal, i'm not certain tho. I can also put some posts on the black mustang club website to see if we can get some more people to come along as well!

Ok it is June 19th which is a Friday, we meet at hooters on 119th street at 11:00am, look at the update on the beginning of this thread to get all of the information! :thumb_up:

Alright guys, here's the updates so far. I've called MC-Racing and they are totally for having us come hang out! They are even going to mow down a section of their field for us to show our cars on wile others dyno and stuff! They also said that they will give us 3 dyno pulls each WITH the fuel/air graph and give you a printout for $45 bucks just for us! They've cleared their whole day for us and we owe a huge thanks to Matt at MC-Racing for hooking us up!

I also called and got HOOTERS on board as well, we will have our own section to sit at so when you arrive and go in just say you're with KC-Mustangs and they will seat you with us!

As for KCIR, I've called and left a message to see if we can get a group discount, so I will update you guys as soon as I hear something back!

Last but not least, the shirts. I've contacted a few local shirt companies and basically what were looking at is about $12 bucks per shirt so I am going to try and finalize the shirt design and those that want a shirt need to let me know asap!

Well guys, we're really needing donations to help us get the shirts! The shirts are going to cost us about $180 total up front for 15 shirts so we need all the help we can get! Myself and faststang87 have already started paying the shirt company to get everything setup and all they need is my designs on Monday and they can have them finished by Thursday afternoon in time for the cruise!

As for KCIR, I am going to call them tomorrow and leave a message telling them that we could still come with about 20-25 Mustangs to come race if they will let us! If not, then Heartland Park is having their grudge night on Thurday the 18th so a couple of us can meet up there and have a two day deal or something!

Well I called KCIR and they still have not returned my calls. However, on their message it does sound like it's a regular Friday night grudge, no mention of bikes only or anything. So as far as I am concerned about 5-6pm I will call them before we all leave MC-Racing and make double sure they will let us race!

Also, if you plan on going to KCIR to race, you need a helmet! They will not let you race without a helmet so don't forget them!

As for the shirts, they are going to hopefully be done today!! I will post with updates as they come! See you all tomorrow!!
