drive shaft removal [Archive]

so i was trying to get my drive shaft out so i could drop the tranny but i cound't seem to get it out...

what do i need to do? cause what ever i was doing sure's the hell wasn't working!!!

I'm pretty sure it's unbolt at the axle and pull. But be careful as they are a lil heavy...

There are 4 12mm bolts to take off at the pumpkin. You will need a open end box end wrench.

They have been 12pt bolts on all my Stangs, so actually a closed end 12pt wrench would work best. Make sure you have the car in gear, that will stop the whole assembly from turning while you loosen the bolts.

and a good whack with a mallet or block of wook to dislodge it from the pinion.
