Greetings. Well, after 15+ years of hearing my buddy (LSCobra) go on and on and on and on and .....well, you get the gist...about Stangs, I finally cracked and bought one. Actually, what put me over the top was driving one. I travel weekly for work, and it just so happens one week Avis gave me a little 6 cylinder Mustang. I'm a big guy and have never been comfortable in any of the older body styles. I was amazed how comfortable the S197 style was. I drove the wheels of that thing for the 4 days I had it. I returned home on a Thursday evening and went straight to a dealership to test drive a GT. Short story long, I had one sitting in my garage about 18 hours later. I dont' know much about them, except that they are fuuuuun to drive. The other big thing I love is how there are so many things you can do to them to make them unique. In fact, I purposely looked for a GT that didn't have a lot of extras because I'm only going to remove them. Anyway, that's my little story. I'm sure I'll be pestering everybody with stupid questions from now on.

you're very right, the S197 fits big guys well, not that I'm admitting to anything LOL
they are also a lot of fun to mod and personalize.......kinda hard not to get carried away somedays.
hopefully will get a chance to meet you some day.....saw a photo of your gt at your site profile page, and I've got say, it looks real good.

Thanks John. I totally understand the "getting carried away" part. In the first 8 days of owning the car, I made 10 mod's to include: push button start, billet pedals, Corsa Axle backs, tint, Hurst short throw shifter, floor mats, trunk "pocket pod", sequential turn signals, shorty antenna, and mirror covers. I may have a problem.....

Bill, about time you got on here. BTW, why did you list your work location?

Yeah, I notice it had me based in Winfield, IL. I created my user name and PW for the site at my client site (in Winfield). It must have tagged my IP location automatically. I will see if I can change it in my profile.
