I know the Eaton TrueTrak is the one to have, but at $500+ it might not happen yet. I'm going from 3:55 open to 4.10's and wondered if I should look at something else or not bother until I can afford the Eaton. I hear everything else is near worthless and requires a lot of maintenance. It's a 4x4 F-150. Anyone have a cheap source for the gears locally?

I've got Detroit Lockers with 4.10s front and back in mine and I've never had any trouble with them.

Lockers in front and rear? Wow...you just coast through the corners or what? Sounds expensive as well.

Yeah, it's fun on the street, but you get used to it after awhile, and for rock crawling there is no substitute. I've taken it places I would never have dreamed of taking a stock suspension F-250 with limited slips. It wasn't too expensive because it was like that when I bought it. :2up:
