Ive got serious traction problems, i want to get some drag radials. But i got a question on what ones to get. First has anybody ever ran them on the stree alot? Im looking at M/t ET streets, or bfg G-forces (theres 2 types thinking about both). Ive got ponys on my car and wanted to run 255/50/16s on there but they are my everyday wheels, so would drag radials suck on the street? Ive got 4 10 holes 2 have brand new snow tires on them then the other 2 have some almost bald bfg radial t/as I was thinking about using them as track tires until they where completely gone then put drag radials on them. But if i could run drag radials on my ponys that would be best so id only have to buy one set of tires for now since my rear are shot. So after all that rambling i just wnat to know what drag radial do you guys think is best and if i could get away with runing them on the street all the time, and what kind of mialage could i get out of them.

My vote for street use would be bfg's or nittos. . .

The longevity of the tires all depends on how you use them, generally nittos will last the longest.

Maybe its not the tires that are the problem??

Have you thought about your rear suspension? Is it stock? Trying to get power to pant on 12+ yr old stockers might not be up to far!! Weight transfer is the bigger part about getting traction so anything you do to move the weight to the rear and get that back end to squat will dramatically help out

Have you thought about your clutch? Does it grab enough to get you that holeshot or is it burning up when you try to slip your clutch?

Driver - maybe alittle more behind the seat experience might help but I dunno your past so that will be up to you to decide.

Since you do drive it on the street everyday, I would just say get the Nitto's! Your not gonna be running as much on the track as you do the street, so the Nitto's will last you at least a year driving and racing. The Mickeys and BFG drag radials are completely overkill for that car and won't last a year. Now, if you plan on racing alot and launching at 4-5,000rpm's off the line, go with BFG's or Mickeys, but I don't think your car will handle that very well.

basically, go with the Nitto's, you won't spin as much on the street or track with the way your car is set up.

I probly will go with nittos, or i might just get some plain old tires for now then oder some Mickeys for my other set of 10 holes or something. Need to get my trac lock rebuilt to that would help my problem alot, it does posi some times but it will kick out and just burn one.

If you got 5 stars. Just try and find 2 more and put the DR's on there. I would also go with the nitto's if you don't want to go that route.

Unless that is your only vehicle, don't waste money on any other drag radial!!

M/T's are the best!!

Are you open of the weekends in gardner for DR's? I'm looking for a set as well, but i only have a stock 7" rim. You have anything on hand that would fit?
