I am upgrading to a BBK Fenderwell style cold air kit and MotoBlue 85mm mass air meter. After studying the factory set up, I went ahead and removed the tubes and filter canister. So the only thing remaining is the stock MAF and sensor. I'm assuming I simply connect the BBK reverse to how I removed stock parts. The sensor mounted on the stock MAF looks like it is fastened with odd looking allen screws. Hopefully the new MAF package will include this little tool. Once I have it all bolted back together with the sensor connected to new MAF, is there any step I have overlooked, something simple I just don't know about. Is there any kind of calibration required? The engine is otherwise stock.

Good for you!! It is essentially the same just backwards. I,m not sure if the allen wrench is included or if you'll have to pick one up. I'm pretty sure you have to get one.

Or a Torx bit or a Tamper Torx Bit.

Hehe, I forgot that is what they are called. As for calibration I'm not sure I would ask Neb50 or Cracker. You might wanna call supertune anyway and get a tune.

The new sensor should be complete. You should just have to unplug the old sensor and plug the new sensor in.
If it does reuse the factory sensor element, then it will take a tamper proof torx bit. If you have to pull the sensor, you need to be very carefull with it and do not touch any of the wires.

Thought I would wrap up this thread just in case another wrench rookie stumbles on to it and wants to know how it went.
As stated earlier, simply reversing the bolt on steps pretty much covers it. The BBK cold air intake comes with instructions and do have handy tips for us rookies like lubing the large grommet with oil so that it is easier to insert tube into fenderwell mount.
I never got to install MAF housing because I cancelled the order. Took RPM Outlet 2 weeks to get me cold air intake after I had paid for 2 day shipping. They continued their incompetence by forgetting to send the MAF included in package. For two weeks now, I have been trying to get them to send it, yet no one there at customer service can even buy clues. I finally cancelled the order and I suspect I will have a mess trying to get them to credit my account properly. Never, ever will I order from that cheese-dick operation again.:mad1:

In all fairness of what you wnat to do. If the car is still N/A and you havent done much to the motor, and new MAF will be useless untill you get higher into the HP figures. Save your money and buy something else that will actually make some power or put the power to the ground better, ie. suspension.

thanks for advice CXM. Zerek was not able to locate one for me anyway so moving on and just keeping the maf stock. As I suspected, RPM shorted my credit, i emailed them to ask why they didn't credit full amount i paid. They are letting me eat silence. By far, they are absolutely the worse online parts shop i have ever dealt with.
