Is this just ricer jewelry or does it work? Does anyone know of a chiller that actually works on an air-to-air system?

nx also makes a kit for coolers, I am going to use a methanol kit on mine.

I read up on these once. I found one interesting write-up where a shop actually took the time to do dyno pulls with no bar, a bar with N20, a bar with C02, and then icing the intercooler. They also monitored the inlet temps and A/F ratios during the pulls.
In a nutshell, the results were not as impressive as one would hope. The only significant power gains were with the bar using the N20, but upon further investigation it was found that it was because the juice was actually ending up getting sucked into the inlet, not because it was cooling the intercooler. The C02 didn't change power much either, and actually killed the engine during the test when it was ingested by the engine.
But, that was just one person's documented experience. If I was going to buy a nirous kit, I'd be spraying it into the engine instead of around it! But that's just me.
Let us know what you dig up!

I'm not ready to hit a big, wet shot of N2O until I get a bottom end that can handle it on top of boost - so I'm trying to figure out what my options are for a little help with cooling the intake air.
If I was to go with N20, my tuner suggested a 25 shot into the airbox so the MAF would see it and the tune would correct for it. Basically pre-cooling the outside air. I thought for the price of a spray bar, since I'm in for the bottle and accessories anyway, it seemed like worth trying out because I thought it may be more effective on the relatively hotter intercooler surface. If a little N2O found its way into the intake, oh well. :gnarly:
I agree, the stuff I've read on the CO2 spray bars isn't very good. There's a guy on the mm.net board that has a CO2 chiller bundle in his water reservoir that vents out the side. It seems like he's doing pretty good with it. But that's not an option unless I convert my system over to air-to-water.
