A friend sent this to me. This is messed up!

Let's say I break into your house.
Let's say that when you discover me in your house, you insist that I leave.
But I say, "I've made all the beds and washed the dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors.
I've done all the things you don't like to do.
I'm hard-working and honest (except for when I broke into your house). According to the protesters:

You are Required to let me stay in your house
You are Required to add me to your family's insurance plan
You are Required to Educate my kids
You are Required to Provide other benefits to me and to my family (my husband will do all of your yard work because he is also hard-working and honest, except for that breaking in part).

If you try to call the police or force me out, I will call my friends who will picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my RIGHT to be there.

It's only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I'm just trying to better myself.

I'm a hard-working and honest, person, except for well, you know, I did break into your house.

And what a deal it is for me!!!

I live in your house, contributing only a fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it without being accused of cold, uncaring, selfish, prejudiced, and bigoted behavior.

Oh yeah, I DEMAND that you learn MY LANGUAGE!!! so you can communicate with me. "

hahah so true... especially about learning their language... I work at QuikTrip and Oreillys and it is over flooded with them.... They always come into oreillys and ask if i can speak spanish. i respond NO! so then like an hour later they finally get wat they need.... and at QT during lunch they all come in and cook their food in our microwaves, dont usually buy anything. and the whole time they are all yelling back and forth in spanish! so annoying

Very good analogy.

Oddly, I have just thinking about relating it to that. Someone posted in another forum I post on, about a Florida legislator passed an e-mail around and someone got offended. A mexican rights group got involved and demanded an apology or more since the term "illegal alien" was used. They prefer undocumented worker.

But again, that analogy is great. It is a great way to explain how I feel anyways.

If anyone wants to become a US citizen in a legal manner, I will welcome them with open arms!

The term: "United States of America" does not exist in this country anymore!!

When schools in SoCal have the right to hang the Mexican flag above Old Glory...............It makes me sick!

When schools in our area require our kids to take manditory Spanish classes...................I have a problem with that!

When schools in this country are Spanish speaking only schools..............I have a problem with that!

When I call Tech Support or Customer Service for answers............I have issues with the person on the other end helping me that can't speak English!

Bottom line, if your gonna live here legally, learn the language! Stop trying to change our lives to make your's easier! If you can't speak English or understand our language, bring your own translator, it isn't our job to understand your language in America!

I'm usually pretty easy going, and not racist, but what erks me is that last year my son's kindergarten combined class consisted of four sets of different classes of about 20-22 students each. However, one of the four classes was all Spanish speaking only kids! So about 20-25% of his class consists of hispanic kids! They are slowly "phasing" in the Hispanic kids into his 1st grade class now, but it sounds like the teachers spend most of their time with these kids rather than the whole group of them.

I don't know if this is becoming the norm anywhere, but this is how it is looking over in NE Shawnee.

Like I said, I'm more than happy to welcome anybody from any country that wants to become an "AMERICAN CITIZEN" legally!!!! After all, ALL of us came from somewhere!

If anyone wants to be an American, then they should learn to be one. Like my Great Grandparents had to do when they came here from Ireland. They considered it a priveledge to be here and was not the least bit "put out" by having to learn to speak, read and write English. They, like everyone else back then, busted their asses to enjoy their new life in the "Land of the Free"!!!!!

Not the other way around!
