KCIR Sunday Grudge To Start A Week Early !

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey guys and gals, just got the word.
Sunday Grudge is going to start a week early if the weather permits !
We were scheduled to host our first Sunday Grudge on March 5th, however the weather has been getting progressively better, therefore, were going to attempt to open a week early, and give you some extra test and tune time.
Pulled the following off of the KCIR website:

GRUDGE RACING BEGINS, Sunday February 26, from noon to 4 P.M. The weather must be 40 degrees and sunny for us to race.

As it says, the temperature must be 40 degrees, and sunny, if the weather looks questionable, just call the "KCIR Hotline" before you come out, (816) 358-6701
Hope to see you all there !

Looks like the weather will be nice and sunny and 50 degrees, so the track will be open unless the weather makes a huge change!

Anyone without a fire jacket, or hasn't got in touch with Zerick at Shift Gears to order one, they do have some extras down at Vamp, but you would have to get it by 5:30pm today! More then likely the track will let you race this one day without the jacket if you are now required to wear one since it is a new rule. No guarantees, but they are pretty cool about things like that!!:stang:

So you have to have a fire jacket no matter what now?

Only if you have an aftermarket Blower, Turbo or N2O. Doesn't matter if you run 14.00, you must have one!

If you want to run at any of the NHRA tracks and have an aftermarket supercharger, turbo, or nitrous, you must have a single layer SFI fire jacket. KCIR and HPT are both NHRA tracks, so you will need to follow this rule anytime you run down the track (Test and tune, grudge, or race event.)

Under the drag racing thread "New rules for KCIR" I copied the rule from NHRA.

Thanks,

I attempted to access the rules on KCIR's web page last night but was not successful...I will go check out Kinger's post.
