So what to do to them? Still fuzzy on things and how they work with it. Found stinger-performance.com and alot of things to buy but what do they run stock and what should one do to make them run 12's? Or quicker....

Edit: also what injectors should i run? I hear 30 or 35 lb? Stock car, i hear 42 lb injectors even can be used with stock computer, but what should be put in? Planning on doing a few things if you all couldn't predict that part yet lol

Stock SVO's (depending on driver) are mid 14-15 sec cars.

So i was browsing around streetfire.net and slipped upon a few videos of an 84 SVO running high 12's (12.74 @ 109.9 being the fastest) on an 88 Tbird's EEC, injectors, big I/C, 3" downpipe, 3.73's, 25 psi. Stock motor and turbo, fuel pumps etc. That makes me pretty darn excited lol 12's are within grasp :woot:

I would start building a shortblock. You can use a Ranger 2.5 crank in a 2.3, they have identical blocks, just different internals. Then get some good aftermarket rods, and some forged pistons. Then port the SVO/Turbocoupe head, and the intake manifold. Then get a larger turbo. There are several websites out there for the turbo 4. tiny avenger motorsports, esslinger, forced4, etc. Like any other vehicle, how fast you go, greatly depends on how much money you have to spend. Have fun.

Thanks! I thought SVO's already have forged pistons though?

In the process of building my son's 2.3l Turbo engine. If you want a site with amazing knowledge on these engines. Try www.turboford.net . I warn you upfront though, these guys are serious and make sure you search b4 asking!! Can be a little harsh, but again, they know their $hit!!!

Looks nice!I tried signing up there but it says it won't take domain names like aol.com, hotmail.com, and yahoo.com. So for some reason it doesn't accept punkdrummer18286@aol.com (my email addy). I don't get it? i already emailed them and no response. I realllllly wanna get on there and ask questions that i can not find but without registering i can't!

I wouldn't touch the shortblock if it runs good. I would just put new valve seals in the head. Holset turbo off a dodge cummins truck. Port the stock exhuast manifold if it is a e6 part number if not get a e6 manifold. A fmic, some bigger injectors with a j3 chip or some other form of tuning, Some sticky tires and start trying to find that 12 second timeslip. The Svo you posted earlier is kind of a freak it is running low 12s now with almost the same mods just better intercooler.

I am really looking forward to getting my svo back. I should be getting it tonight. I need something to put my stinger header and intercooler on. :2up:
