if you port the heads and don't get a newer/bigger cam will it really do anything? cause i might be pulling the motor to put in my long tubes so i was just asking about it cause if it will help any then i will do it but if it wont then i wouln't worry about anything but my long tubes!!!

Porting your heads will increase airflow, they really have nothing to do with what cams your running! Now, if you go further and get your valves ported, you can get the cams to match up, but still not needed. You can get up to 45-50 more rwhp by porting heads!
