Well there's 2 weekends in there, so who knows. I honestly can't believe its' even on the schedule as a TBD date. Don't get me wrong, I'd like it to come back, but I can't believe that they can continue to afford to run that event at a facility where people don't show up. There have to be other venues that would have a better draw.

Very True! Also, HPT is by far one of the worst tracks for spectators!! :screwy:

I have to agree with that. You're totally isolated form the track when you're in the pits, which sucks. And when you're in the stands, you're still a million miles away from the track.

Lets protest to bring it back to KCIR. And I agree, if they don't do it the one weekend they can do it. Then it isn't gonna happen.

The stands are designed that way from a saftey standpoint because of the Nationals that are run there. Granted, it sucks that its that way, but, thats the way it is.

Lets protest to bring it back to KCIR. And I agree, if they don't do it the one weekend they can do it. Then it isn't gonna happen.

I quite honestly believe that until KCIR decides to spend even more money and get some better restroom facilities, more paved parking, better track help etc etc, they will never have another event there. Heartland Park still has them beat by a long shot on all of that. And Track wise, I still think, along with quite a few other people I know, that Heartland is still a much nicer track all around. Just my .02

Topeka is off the list...I suspected it would be after speaking with the FFW staff. The information was that FFW’s contract expired and they were negotiating with HPT for a new (hopefully better) date. FFW would come back if they got the date they wanted. Who knows what really happen. One thing for sure, HPT sure did F-up the whole thing. What a bunch of jack-balls.

May have to shoot for Texas this year?

I'm sad it's not coming back, but only because I won't get to hang out with my homies for the whole weekend again! I had a blast last year.

Sorry to bring this thread back up, but I have been to the FFW at Firebird in Phoenix before and I have to say, that was one of the best tracks I have ever been too. Stands are close to the track, I ended up walking right down into the burnout boxes and watched most of the races from there. The weather was awesome too being in the desert and all. If anyone ever gets the chance to go out there for it, I would say do it. I drove my 02 out there and back and it was a blast.
