It's about time I fire some of you up. I have heard about every excuse in the book from most of you this year about why you can't show up for either a cruise or a race. I know I haven't made every one, and I know I don't post alot, but you can bet your arse I'm as hard core as anyone out there.

There is a two day VAMP race this weekend and I would like to have some of you that live on this board and talk about this and talk about that to get your butt out to the track and support your brethren or *** forbid RACE YOUR CAR AND HAVE SOME FUN!!!!!!!!!!

I just had one of the greatest weekends of my life because I spent it with my wife, kids and friends doing something I absolutely love, and having the support of those who made it to Topeka was incredible (I'm just sorry I let everyone down by smoking the tires in round one).

It's going to be cool, cheap, fun, lots of horsepower, probably some chicks for you single guys, cash payouts, food, drinks in the evening and you'll get to see me! What more could you ask for?????????????????????????????????

Just to add to this! KCIR is leaving the track open for us to camp out Saturday night!! We have a few smokers and lots of grills gonna be cooking all day and night! Gonna have a couple kegs, do some 60' races in the middle of the night on the track (on foot that is)!! :smilielol: :2up:

Basically, KCIR and Vamp are allowing all of us to kick back, have fun for the whole family, all day, all night, and all day Sunday!!!:hail: :banana_dance:

If I wasn't going out of town this weekend for the wedding anniversary, I would kick some ass in those Vamp races. My car is getting faster and I'm getting better every pass I make. .03 light on my first official pro tree race, hell yeah!!

Speaking of gloves - I just touched yours, Corum's and everone else's fecal matter that took a dump in the RV this weekend. AUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. You can ask Scotty, I was dry heaving outside the barn it was so bad. You guys owe me BIG TIME.

Those were pinewood derby cars we built this winter, he got third in his den of second graders, and 6th in the whole pack (1st through 5th graders). Gee- I wonder what Den has all the competitve fathers? This year he's going to take over even more of the car building, but I'll keep showing him all the tricks- he's just going to have to do more of the work each year.

Tonight we built a car you actually ride. It's pretty sweet. Can't wait to run it next week! Of course the first things Mom asks is "where's the brakes?". Honey, let me 'splain something to you: brakes slow the car down..... nothing comes out of this garage that will slow a car down!

We were the only den that built a car, so there won't be any real race. Tonight was just about showing the boys a few basic tools and how to use them, in a project that holds an 8 year old boys interest longer than an X-box- CARS! Of course, the Mustang is sitting in the driveway all stickered up form the weekend, rubber caked all over the rear fenders, "is that a real racecar?" And Clayton's go cart is sitting in the garage, so they were all messing around on that thing too. It was awesome having all those boys over and showing them this stuff and seeing how excited they get when they're doing something cool. Best part is they have no idea they're learning something, but they are.

That's kinda how it started for me...My brother wanted to spend time with his little brother (he's 17yrs older than me) and he would always test me on getting the right tools when he needed them. I was a dang fine tool getter! As I grew up he challenged me to take things apart and see if I could put it back together just as good as it was...no there wasn't anything wrong with the things I took apart...I did every one of those task up to his expectation. That locked in my addiction for cars and kept me out of trouble...cuz on the weekend I was over at somebodys shop puttin their junk back together. LOL...Some of the greatest memories ever.
