I didn't quite understand how this thing worked, I thought my time was calculated from "time trials" and not "qualifying runs". I had massive tire spin during the "qualifying" times that they use to calculate your dial-in. Then, when I finally got to race with an ice cold engine (no practice for me because they failed to say "Ultra Stang" when naming which classes could do time trials  ), I ran a 12.75 with my brake pedal on the floor. I collected a $50 check for getting 3rd out of 3. :smilielol:

I had a sudden (and very severe) onset of ADD. I swear it was like I forgot how to drive. My first run was fine and about what I expected for the weather- 12.14. On the second run I forgot to turn the OD off and it went into 4th at 1000', went 12.44. That screwed me up in the head so bad that I blew the tires off on the 3rd run, had a 2.oh-my 60' and a whopping 12.80. Yup, I choked.

Sunday was better- Went 12.02 in time trials and 12.06 in the first round of brackets. But then we got maybe 5 minutes of downtime between runs, I was losing a tenth per run. I made it to the semi's before I took myself out with a red light.

Sorry to hear about the times guys. Must have been rough. And whats the deal with Roger. Was the racing the 98 or the 05. If he was in the 98, can he still not get a good launch in that car. Hes got a good enough mph for 11's but is always stuck in the 12's. I bet it was a blast anyways. I'm super pissed I never even made it but I've been terribly sick and it only got worse over the weekend. I think I'm finally starting to come out of it now.

The 98 had issues friday, so he brought it home and took the 05 out!! And he has some serious traction issues with the 05' 500rwhp, on little ass 275x40 BFG's = lots of spin!! :smilielol: :smilielol:

Track was too cold from all the rain and really in M/O sucked.

I had 2.01 60's...and also I hate the 17" M/T drag radials for the track...not enough sidewall for my fork lift supspension. Some 15x8's and some 26/10.5 E.T. Streets would be better...and that fricken clutch...it's either on or off.
I Ran 12.53 at close to 114 in the True Street brackets... 113.8 I think.
Didn't get enough passes to practice with the clutch and launch. It's has a good pass in it if I can get it outta the hole...3.55's arent so good for Drag racin, but are great for the 20 mpg on the highway. I don't make enough power for them I guess...need some 3.73's or 3.90's.
But.... It kicks ass from a roll with the D/R's. Woo Woo...

Oh, and Timmay...you are just getting better at the time slip...and that's all. LOL...

From a Roll?... Bring it! Oh and afterwards we can check times against eachother at the road race course...lol :smilielol: :beatyoass: Dual pupose here buddy...Shake and Bake BOBBY!

I may be getting ahead of myself here... but Dang It...I wanna talk some smack for a change...ROTF :smilielol:

All I can say is I was letting out big time to try and hit an 11.8 something to have a dial in of 11.7 something and I still ran 11.90's at 118.5 with crappy 1.8 60 foots. If I could have hooked up and made a full pass I would have easily run my best times ever.

Knocked myself out in first round because I couldn't hook up. .036 light and wasted it just spinning as usual!!!!!!!!!! I'm beginning to think these M/T Radials aren't as good as the old ET streets!

I'll be looking for traction action this Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't feel bad Scott, I never could hook with my Mickey's, that's why I switched to slicks!! I'd say go back the the ET Streets, hell, you know they hook!! :2up:

Dude....get another set of rims for the slicks so you can still drive the car on the street.

Another $600 so I can have bald M/T radials on one set and slicks on another? I don't think so.............. I drove on the street with my ET's for over a year, including to the strip pulling wheelies. I can't say that with those stupid radials.

I feel ya there!! I have to drive mine everyday, so I need two sets, but for you, hell, just get some ET Streets and call it good! The only thing you will have to worry about is when it rains, and we all know your car has only seen rain once, and that was a few sprinkles at the 2nd Vamp race this year!! :smilielol:

If you're going ET streets, then that's a good plan. I just wouldn't drive true slicks on the street, that's all.

So if you're throwing those Mickey's out, I'll take dibs on them......kinda had too much fun with the line loc this weekend hehe. Burnouts are soooooooo cool. :smilielol:

Man, I think my car would hook on bike tires. This automatic is a whole different ballgame. My 60's are still a little off the stick cars, but I'm still having a blast with it.
