I know this is the wrong forum, but more people look here and its definetly a good thread for all of us. Most of this comes from Mod Misfits, Kinger and I are good friends with those guys.

New product. Been out for about 6 months. It replaces the old welding of the axle tubes. If you have ever seen an axle weld break, the weld will still be attached to the axle housing, not the diff case. The tubes are steel and the housing is cast iron. Welding them together is difficult at best. The guy who manufacters all the CHE stuff is a pretty sharp guy. I look for their stuff to get more of a name for itself this year. The braces are availible from us at $189.99 for black and $199.99 for Blue, Orange, Red, Yellow, & Silver. In a nutshell it keeps your axle tubes from twisting right out of the diff case. Like a lot of cars have done. It also keep the axle deflection to a minimum, so you don't bend your axle tubes. The Powerhouse turbo 05GT runs 10's with 1.4x short times with nothing but this brace for axle support.

or

The brace triangulates the axle tube with the center section adding a significant amout of strength, it not only helps prevent rotating the axle tubes but also helps prevent the tubes from bending forward and up, which is common on alot of sticky tired cars with unsupported axles.

give me a link to another website that has this exact product on it :screwy:

Maybe I guess I am slipping away from the mustang world, but I've never seen anything quite like this on a rear end up until recently so if its old news, post a link to something that has been around for some time

swap to a live axle. I don;t think they carry parts for the halfshafts. Look into GKN Stage 3 and up ones.

Actually, Roy Helm (Last years Vamp Champ) has had a similar set up on his for 2 years now!

Here is his comment on it? Its a design from Tim Stockwell (race pages editor/nmra etc) and its been out longer than 6 months cause I've had it installed longer then 2 years!

Here is his link: http://pages.sssnet.com/qwiktim/index.htm

I know this is an old thread, but thought you guys may want to know how simple these braces are to build. I printed the pictures off the web, then took measurements on my own solid axle. I cut the gusset strips out of 3/16's iron, the mounting flanges were cut from the same material then shaped to fit in a vice, then the tubing was cut from 1" DOM pipe. Some plasma cutting, some welding, 8 bolts, and about $30 worth of metal later, I have this brace on my car.

My new digicam will be here on Tuesday and I'll get some photos of it to post up. Obviously it's a little rough compared to theirs, but works perfectly:2up:

Like I said, I know it doesn't look as nice as theirs, but it works very well & cost about $30 to make:shrug: Looked a lot better when it was freshly painted. Needs another coat I see.

I knew it wouldn't turn out as nice as theirs, but I enjoy building stuff so this was fun to do. When I redo my rear suspension (going to MM torque arm/panhard rod, MM lca's) I'll take that piece off and have it powdercoated sonic blue. The paint that's on it now is just rattlecan stuff.
