Production numbers for the Mercury Marauder:
2003 - 7839 (328 Blue, 417 Silver, 7094 Black)
2004 - 3213 (980 DTR, 997 Silver, 1236 Black)
Total production, 03 and 04 was 11,052

Black exterior. (As of June 2004):
1059 with charcoal interior, 842 have CD changers, 873 have heated seats.
147 with flint interior, 105 have CD changers, 100 have heated seats.
Dark Toreador Red exterior. (As of June 2004):
565 with charcoal interior, 457 have CD changers, 505 have heated seats.
398 with flint interior, 293 have CD changers, 270 have heated seats.
Silver Birch exterior. (As of June 2004):
525 with charcoal interior, 422 have CD changers, 439 have heated seats.
448 with flint interior, 332 have CD changers, 304 have heated seats.

'03 Marauder owners classify their cars as either 300A or 300B builds. Altough not an all inclusive list of differences in features, here's the best "short answer" I've found:


Only '03s have a 300B version...all '04s are 300A...

The primary differences between ('03) 300As and ('03) 300Bs are what the 'Bs DON'T have:

Full-size spare
Automatic parking brake release
Electric fuel door release
Stand-alone clock
Metal rear speaker grilles

What ('03) 300Bs DO have that ('03) 300As don't:

Traction control
Heated seat option

'04 300As are just like '03 300Bs...

During the change-over from A to B, some Bs got some of the 300A options, so you may find a 300B with a full-size spare (for example)...

300A owner here... who needs traction control anyways? Bun warmers would have been nice though.

Great cars! I'm in Wisconsin for a Chief's of Police conference and the Ford police vehicle folks are here. Both of them want to grab Marauders before they become "too" collectible.

i have one more color to add to that i was in mexico today and saw about 4 taxies that were white i have pic as soon as i get home.
