If so, does your phone work? I've tried calling probably 10 times on various days/times over the past two weeks and no one EVER answers.
I've got a garage full of parts that need to be put on the SVO and at the rate I'm going, it will be 2008 before I get time to do it myself. Therefore I am looking for someone to install the following:
Different upper/lower intake manifold
42 lb injectors
Larger front mount intercooler
Different radiator
Blow-off valve
Manual boost controller
8.8" rear axle
Aluminum driveshaft
New brake rotors/pads and shocks/struts at all four corners
Also need a fuel leak (possibly fuel filler neck) and oil leak (rear main seal?) tracked down and fixed.
Then I need someone to program the computer and make it run! I've got the checkbook out, who's game?

Good luck on getting your SVO finished up.

Definately give Supertune a call..................MC is either too busy or doesn't care - at least that's been my experience.

I tried to do business with MC Racing myself. I already spent $10,000 or more there and they wouldnt call me back for the biggest job I needed done to date. I went elsewhere. My opinion is if they wont call you now they probably wont communicate after they have some of your money either. All I can say is I hope your not it too big of a hurry no matter where you go. This stuff always seems to take longer to get done than anyone ever thinks it will.

Man, there are alot of MCRacing haters in this forum. :screwy:
Personally, I would keep on the phone and trying to get ahold of MCRacing. Obviously if you stop by, you will see they are always busy and the guy that answers the phone is probably out looking for parts. Its business.
I'm going to try to find a couple of pictures of the SVO's that MCR has built. You'd have to go along way to find people who were more knowledgable :2up:

I am not a MC Racing hater. I am a any one who owns a business but runs it like shit hater. I dont care how much they know about building a car if they dont answer the phone or return messages then it would be pretty hard for them to convince some one how much they know. Plus that it is rude and it pisses me and lots of others off !! You shouldnt need to beg a business to do business. If they are that busy than they should be able to afford a receptionist.

Before I knew of Supertune :2up:I tried to do business with MC about building a motor for my car and getting the parts through them. Got a couple phone calls accomplished and then went up there and immediately felt outta place because they wouldn't hardly talk to me and it wasn't because they were busy it was because they busy talking to the clique of fellows that were there. I could of understood if it was customers but they all worked there. I know I didn't fit in because I didn't have an open check to give them. I turned around and left and took my 8 grand somewhere else. Then I found Supertune and the rest is history. Too bad I didn't know who Supertune:2up: was before I went though mail order to get my stuff. I did find them in time to tune it for me and no body else has gotten 320hp/335trq Naturally aspirated at the wheels around here that I know of on a 2 valve with 8 1/2 to 1 compression. Supertune :2up: is a great place to go through. I can't say the same for MC...I don't hate them but I just don't fit into their clique but I have heard they do build awesome stuff.

8.5 compression and 320hp/335tq? You must be doing something rightthat 100 other guys with built 2v are wrong. A good friend have a Boss330 fully forged 2v, 10.5 compression, tuned by Ed Clark and made 330/335.
Either way, thats awesome. What did you run N/A?

Thanks for the kudos...it ran a 12.98 at 107.8 with a 1.78 60 ft...I couldn't believe it had 8 1/2 to 1 compression. When I got it tore apart the piston part number indicated they are a 16cc dish piston which puts the dish deeper than stock and it it 9.4 to 1 stock and my Mahle pistons have been notched as well...It does have big cams and oversized valves and it is also a 302 stroker with a GREAT porting job on the heads. It's a monster N/A. and with a 100hp shot it went 12.13 at 116.6mph. It's got a lot more in it if I can grow some balls and launch it like it needs to be launched...full weight car with a bad clutch doesn't do so well at the starting line. Can't wait to get my new Centerforce dula friction clutch in it and see what she can do. Motor will be done Friday!!!:2up: :banana_dance: :woot: :woohoo:

If you have PI heads matched with 16cc dish pistons your compression ratio should be around 9.5 to 1 .

Yea, those CC dish compression numbers seem a bit off. I would say screw N2O and go with boost. Even if you had 9.5 compression, it is still not optimal for N2O.
Your N/A 1/4 was close to mine. Mine were 12.45 at 109.78 with a 1.75 60'ft, 294/310, full weight, with ET Streets

The last time I called they wanted $600-$800 to tune it back in July of 05. Yesterday I was in a "mood" so I thought I'd see whats changed in a year.

wow, that is steep. I wonder why they quoted you at those prices. I really don't know what they charge me, it is usually thrown in with the engine installs because they happen almost as frequent as another :beatyoass:

I was hoping it wasn't in the 8's...thanks for the info..I am getting them cc'd to find out for sure...hopefully 9.5 to 1..that would be perfect for me. I am just gonna get it back together and just drive it...I may get up the nerve again to see how fast it is on motor and just use the n2o for last minute savior status on the street if that were to happen, hypothetically speaking...ROTFLMAO!!! :smilielol:

What ever happened to your engine? I never did read what the cause of your failure was. Maybe you wrote about it on here but I must have missed it. I was just wondering if you found the cause of what made it fail. I kinda know what you mean by "just drive it when you get it done". I had mine blow up on me once but it was all due to the idiot that built the short block for me. He put the wrong pistons in it for Trick Flow heads. I didn't have enough piston to valve clearance so about 1,000 miles later when I really start to run the engine hard...BOOM!!! A Valve snaped off in the cylinder at about 6,200 rpm. After I got it all back together THE RIGHT WAY I was affraid for the longest time to really flog the thing to see what it would do. I finally got over it though.
And not to to totally hijack the thread I have had good luck with both places most of the time. Every time I have called up there I have had no problems getting people. MC Racing I think has gotten a little better then what it used to be. When the other owner used to own it he only cared about you if you were spending thousands of dollars with them. He could care less about all the other people. I was talking with him once and in mid sentace he stopped what he was saying to me because one of his high paying customers just rolled in!!!:screwy: At least that guy doesn't run the place anymore. If he did I would have nothing but bad to say about MC...
