Don't forget to pump your tires up to max psi just before the school - there's a bp across the street from Lot L (east side of the stadium) or bring a tank.
Have a good time - bring water, put sunscreen on before you get there (ask me how I know...) and prepare for a lot of fun!

Bring my helmet too, correct?

Yes, bring a helmet. Make sure it's snell 95 or newer. There should be a sticker inside under the padding. Some loaner helmets are available at normal events, but I'm not sure about a school.
I'm not signed up as an instructor this year, but I will be there to help out in any way I can. (advise, moral support)
You know what they say, "If autocrossing was easier, they'd call it road racing."
I look forward to seeing you there.

Question: Long pants a must or are shorts OK?
I know the Nashville opentrack event I did required long pants... Nothing funnier than watching a bunch of guys "size each other up" and swap pants/shorts in the middle of the garage area! :smilielol:
I haven't received any reply to the registration email. I would assume silly questions like this would be answered in some sort of pre-event "registration packet"?

Dan -
look forward to meeting you. I'll have the Saleen (overweight flexible convertible pig) there. LOL.
I'm covered on the helmet - bought an 05 a while back.

Yes, shorts are fine.
Sorry Donna, I can't find a registration list or total.
Don't forget to register for the event on the 18th as well. Practice those new skills.

Anyone thinking about doing this, please do. It's a great course put on by some really great instructors. My son did this last year, and I watched. This is a truely great program!

Marlboro, Did you run last weekend? If so, I think you were gridded next to my dad.

Donna, I can't find a registration list or total.Dan, they still have room for students and pre-registration is open until Thursday. If you're concerned you're not going to make the cutoff, contact the event organizer (Fred Bybee) or the registrar to let them know you'll be attending.
Looks like you will have good weather, too.

Just gotta say, I had a BLAST getting "schooled" today! :banana_dance:
Learned a BUNCH, and thoroughly enjoyed driving the car near it's limits. If anyone has a chance to do an Autocross school, I give it a big THUMBS UP! Was able to knock 6 full seconds off my time from start to finish.
